Feature
Polo, lunch and a charity auction on the HMA Tax No.1 Ground at Beaufort Polo Club. This is the story of the 2026 HMA Tax Charity Polo Day, from the first arrivals to the final lot.
On 25 June, on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year, clients, professional partners, sponsors and friends joined us at Beaufort Polo Club for an afternoon of polo, great company and generosity, in support of two causes at the heart of the equestrian world.
Chapter 01 · Arrival
Guests arrived to blazing sunshine at the HMA Tax No.1 Ground, which we have sponsored since the 2021 season. Hats on and glasses filled.

Also arriving
Ferrari Swindon joined us with a line-up of fantastic cars beside the marquee, and kindly donated a private factory tour in Maranello to the charity auction.
Chapter 02 · Lunch
Guests sat down to lunch in the marquee, with Gusbourne’s English wines served throughout the afternoon. Then it was time for a few words.

Another year has passed since we last gathered at Beaufort Polo Club, and it has been another exciting chapter in the HMA Tax journey. We have continued to grow our team, expand our reach, and most importantly, help even more property owners and businesses navigate complex tax matters and unlock valuable opportunities.
Duncan ChittickManaging DirectorSales Director Andy Milnes told guests how the HMA Tax team has grown from 11 people to more than 50 in just two years, “helping property owners and businesses across the UK identify valuable tax reliefs and reinvest back into their businesses.”
Andy explained that while we have completed thousands of claims, millions of commercial properties across the UK have never had a capital allowances review. A claim identifies the parts of a building that qualify for tax relief: heating, electrics, air conditioning, lifts, kitchens, sanitaryware and much more.
With many accountants, wealth advisers, solicitors and bankers in the marquee, his message was simple: almost every commercial property owner should have a conversation about capital allowances at some point. Most of the opportunities we uncover start with a simple introduction.
Andy then handed over to Alex Choma, Associate Director in our Private Client team.
Among friends
Clients, partners, colleagues and their families shared tables in the marquee. Tax Director Jasmine Hill with a very special young guest.

Chapter 03 · The causes
We are especially grateful to Zara Phillips for introducing us to both charities and helping us understand the extraordinary work they do. On the day, Zara took the microphone to encourage guests to support the auction for her chosen causes.
Giving former racehorses fulfilling second careers once their racing days are over.
Offering vital support to riders who have suffered life-changing injuries.
At HMA Tax, supporting charities that make a genuine difference has always been an important part of who we are.

Chapter 04 · An announcement
The day was the moment we announced our sponsorship of Milly Hine, the world’s number one female polo player. We back the best in their field, as our clients expect us to be in ours.
Chapter 05 · On the field
In the blazing afternoon heat, England international Mark Tomlinson put on a polo demonstration for guests on the HMA Tax No.1 Ground, showing the speed, skill and horsemanship behind the game up close.

In memory
One of the most moving moments of the day was a speech from Priya Kapur in memory of Sunjay Kapur. Sunjay played alongside us in previous years and was a great supporter of the day. He was warmly remembered by everyone present.
Chapter 07 · The auction
TV auctioneer Philip Serrell led the bidding, and guests dug deep for both charities.
